Complete Pike Fishing Set 216 cm 15–40 g
We have put together this pike fishing set at Hengelsport 2000 for casting with lures. It combines a 13 Fishing Omen Black Spin rod with an Okuma Azaki reel, line and accessories. Lures, unhooking pliers and an unhooking mat are also included. We spool the reel with the braided line before delivery.
A practical choice if you want to start pike fishing or prefer a selection of tackle without having to choose every item separately.
Omen Black rod with an Okuma Azaki reel
The 13 Fishing Omen Black Spin measures 216 cm and has a casting weight of 15–40 g. Its length is manageable for casting from a boat or from banks with sufficient casting space.
The rod is paired with an Okuma Azaki AZ 30 FD front-drag reel. Adjust the drag before fishing so the reel can release line when pressure increases during a fight.
Pre-spooled with braided line
We spool the reel with the included 0.16 mm Nihonto Octa 8 Braid Green. Braid has little stretch, helping you feel lure movement and detect takes.
Simply assemble your rod and reel, thread the line through the guides, and attach your leader and lure. Check the drag setting before you start fishing.
Wire leaders for pike fishing
You receive two 30 cm Mikado Dream Leader 7x7 wire leaders with a stated breaking strain of 9 kg. Use a wire leader between the main line and lure when pike fishing to protect against sharp teeth.
Check the leader and snap regularly for damage, especially after catching a fish or getting snagged.
Cannibal Shads with a storage box
The 10 cm Savage Gear Cannibal Shad Mix RTF comes with a storage box. RTF stands for Ready To Fish: the lures are pre-rigged, allowing you to attach them to your leader once your rod and reel are prepared.
Try a steady retrieve or alternate short movements with pauses that let the lure sink. When casting, account for the combined weight of the softbait and its rig. This must suit the rod’s casting rating.
Unhooking pliers and mat included
The set includes stainless steel unhooking pliers and a Freestyle Lite Mat 100 CLK. The pliers help you reach the hook. Wet the mat before placing a fish on it and keep time out of the water to a minimum.
A landing net and hook cutters are not included. These are useful additions for landing pike and cutting a hook when necessary.
A tip from Hengelsport 2000
Start with a steady retrieve to learn how the lure feels in the water. Then experiment with changes in speed and short pauses. Check the swimming action close to the bank first so you can see how your rod and reel movements affect the lure.
This set is intended for lures within the rod’s 15–40 g casting range. Heavy jerkbaits and large swimbaits require a more powerful rod.
