Premium Baits Sweet Scopex FFP Boilie Combi Set – 2.5 kg – 20 mm
This set gives you two sizes of Sweet Scopex bait to fish over the same spot. Use the yellow 20 mm boilies as loose feed or as a bottom bait on the hair. The smaller 15 mm pop-ups give you the option of presenting a hookbait just off the lakebed. Both baits and the matching dip come in a reusable camo bucket.
Baiting a spot with 20 mm Sweet Scopex boilies
Sweet Scopex FFP boilies combine a sweet, creamy aroma with a birdfood base. To match your hookbait to your free offerings, mount a whole boilie on the hair and scatter a few of the same size around the rig. For a tighter patch of feed, break a few boilies into halves or crumbs.
Making a snowman with a 20 mm boilie and a 15 mm pop-up
Thread a sinking 20 mm boilie onto the hair first, followed by a 15 mm pop-up. The smaller yellow bait sits above the larger bottom bait. To fish the pop-up on its own, use a dedicated pop-up rig and adjust its height to suit the lakebed.
For an extra coating of the same scent, dip your hookbait in the Sweet Scopex liquid before casting. You can leave the boilies you use as loose feed untreated.
A tip from Hengelsport 2000
Test the snowman in the margins with the hook attached. The bottom bait should settle gently, with the pop-up sitting above it. If the pop-up lifts the bottom bait, trim a little off the pop-up and test the rig again.
