Rozemeijer Tybrid Jr. Jerkbait 11 cm
The Rozemeijer Tybrid Jr. is a compact hybrid jerkbait for active pike fishing. Measuring 11 cm and weighing 32 g, it suits drains, urban canals and other shallow waters. A practical option when you want to fish with a smaller jerkbait.
How to fish the Tybrid Jr.
Use short rod twitches or short turns of the reel handle to make the Tybrid Jr. glide from side to side. Alternate these movements with pauses. This lets you work the same spot at different speeds and find the presentation that triggers a response.
Allow a little slack after each twitch so the lure can complete its sideways glide, while maintaining enough contact to detect a take.
Suspending or slow floating depending on your leader
Your leader affects the buoyancy of this jerkbait. With the Rozemeijer 35 cm, 80 lb Fluoro Carbon Leader, the Tybrid Jr. is intended to suspend, remaining almost stationary in the water during a pause. A lighter leader can make it rise slowly.
Check its behaviour in the water in front of you before casting. The weight of the complete rig, including the snap, helps determine how the lure behaves when paused.
Rotating BKK treble hooks
The Tybrid Jr. features BKK treble hooks on rotating mounts. This allows the hooks to turn with the fish during the fight, helping to reduce leverage on the hook when a pike twists or shakes its head.
Alongside the standard colours, there is a Limited Edition Vismeester Special. Check the available variants for current stock.
Which rod should you use?
You can fish this jerkbait with either a spinning or baitcasting rod. Choose a rod with a casting rating suitable for the 32 g lure and your rig. A crisp rod tip helps you impart short, controlled twitches.
A tip from Hengelsport 2000
Start with two short twitches followed by a pause. If a pike follows without striking, change the length of the pause or add another short twitch. Check whether your rig makes the lure suspend or rise slowly so you know what it is doing during each pause.
